Safety and Stewardship
- Intrinsically safe process conditions and emphasis on safe actions maintains our leading position in accident prevention. Having past 3 million man-hours of safe work we expect to pass 4 million man-hours without injury or major incident in 2017. Our safe work extends to safe products which we follow through to our customer’s point of use “cradle to grave”.
- An integrated system of Safety Leadership from the Company Chairman to the line operator detects unsafe acts and unsafe conditions before accidents happen.
- Housekeeping standards are impeccably controlled.
- Accident prevention through Permits to Work (PTW) for every phase of maintenance and construction whether contractors or in-house resources.
- Annual hazard risk assessments and 3rd party audits of our Major Hazard Risk Program licenses look to strategic prevention and best known methods implementation (BKM)
- Global Safety Week, is an annual “stand down” for safety training and awareness.

- Long-term : Align with Taiwan Government “ 2050 net-zero emissions target”, the Company’s long-term goal is “2050 net-zero emissions”.
- Short-term : For Category 2 electricity use, the goal is to reduce electricity consumption by 1% each year.
Ethics
CONFLICT MINERALS POLICY
AUECC formulated the Conflict Minerals Policy and confirmed Minerals used in Products sold to customers are “DRC Conflict-Free”. And we requested our direct suppliers to be DRC conflict-free as well.
POLICY
At Asia Union Electronic Chemical Corp. (hereinafter refer to as AUECC), we are committed to ensuring safety in our operations and the work environment of our suppliers (hereinafter refer to as Suppliers), respectful treatment of all employees, fulfillment of environmental responsibility in business operations, and adherence to ethics. We believe that suppliers also need to follow these commitments based on the same values and principles in order to fulfill our social responsibility and achieve sustainability.
AUECC and Suppliers commit to respect the human rights of workers, and to treat them with dignity. This applies to direct and indirect suppliers, as well as all workers including temporary, migrant, student, contract, direct employees, and any other type of worker. Additionally, we strictly follow Prohibition Code of hiring Child Labor.
AUECC and Suppliers shall recognize that in addition to minimizing the incidence of work-related injuries and illnesses, a safe and healthy working environment enhances the quality of products and services, consistency of production and worker retention and morale. Participants also recognize that ongoing worker input and education are essential to identifying and solving health and safety issues in the workplace.
Across all business functions, AUECC and Suppliers recognize that environmental responsibility is integral to producing world-class products. AUECC and Suppliers shall identify the environmental impacts and minimize adverse effects on the community, environment, and natural resources, while safeguarding the health and safety of the public.
To meet social responsibilities and to achieve success in the marketplace, AUECC and Suppliers and the agents shall uphold the highest standards of ethics including the following: Business Integrity, No Improper Advantage, Disclosure of Information, Intellectual Property, Fair Business, Advertising, and Competition, Protection of Identity and Non‐Retaliation, Responsible Sourcing of Minerals, Privacy.
AUECC and Suppliers shall adopt or establish a management system with a scope that is related to the content of RBA CoC. The management system shall be designed to ensure: (a) compliance with applicable laws, regulations and customer requirements related to the AUECC and Suppliers’ operations and products; (b) conformance with RBA CoC; and (c) identification and mitigation of operational risks related to RBA CoC. Simultaneously, it shall also facilitate continual improvement.
The management system shall contain the following elements: Company Commitment, Management Accountability and Responsibility, Legal and Customer Requirements, Risk Assessment and Risk Management, Improvement Objectives, Training, Communication, Worker/ Stakeholder Engagement and Access To Remedy, Audits and Assessments, Corrective Action Process, Documentation and Records and Supplier Responsibility.
